Silver Tier — Ure Dales Trustmark
Delivering beyond baseline. Carrying the Trustmark with weight.
What this tier is
A holding at Silver is actively progressing ecological outcomes and is demonstrating systemic stewardship across its land.
Criteria
- Delivery ahead of baseline plan targets for at least two years
- Silver-tier audit passed — deeper assessment of practices, not just plan hectarage
- Active engagement in scheme-wide programmes (mentoring, peer learning, cross-holding collaboration)
- Documented stewardship approach covering water, soil, biodiversity, livestock, and community
Audit cycle
Three-year audit cycle. Awarded by the Audit and Standards Committee (EQM-chaired). Tier status is reviewed at each cycle — holdings can progress upward or be redesignated if criteria are no longer met.
What this means for your holding
Silver represents demonstrated ecological progress beyond the baseline. Your holding would need to show measurable improvements in at least two of: soil health, water quality, biodiversity indicators, or woodland cover. The trustmark tier acts as a multiplier in the surplus distribution formula — Silver holdings receive a higher weighting than Bronze.
Silver carries a ×1.5 surplus distribution multiplier — 50% more than the Bronze baseline.
